course explores the evolution of individual responsibility for the world’s most
serious atrocities, from Nuremberg to the modern International Criminal Court.
Students will analyze the legal elements of genocide, war crimes, and crimes
against humanity, while evaluating complex modes of liability like command
responsibility.
