CHEMISTRY

This course aims to provide the basic principles and concepts of chemistry to engineering students. Main topics are introduction, atoms and atomic theory, mass relationship in chemical reactions, chemical compounds, reactions in aqueous solutions, gases, periodic table and atomic properties, chemical bonds, liquids, solids and intermolecular forces, solutions and their physical properties, energy relationship, acids and are bases and buffer solutions. At the end of this course, successful students will gain the skills of defining and explaining the basic concepts of chemistry within the framework of an intellectual discipline, developing analytical thinking skills through effective thinking and rational and quantitative association, solving problems in chemistry with a systematic approach, and developing the ability to look at the events around them with chemistry teaching.
