This course introduces students to the principles and methods of legal research and writing. It examines the nature and sources of law, the use of primary and secondary legal materials, legal research methodologies, and legal citation techniques.
The course further develops students’ ability to identify legal issues, analyze statutes and judicial decisions, prepare case briefs, legal memoranda, and academic essays, and present clear, logical, and well-supported legal arguments in accordance with accepted legal writing standards and principles of academic integrity.
